Firdous lauds OPC’s efforts for resolving expats issues
LAHORE: Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Vice-Chairperson Ch Waseem Akhtar called on SACM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and discussed the matters of mutual understanding with her.
Vice-Chairperson OPC gave a detailed briefing regarding the steps taken by the commission for the provision of relief to the overseas Pakistanis. Firdous Ashiq said that the efforts done by Vice-Chairperson OPC and his team for early resolution of complaints of Overseas Pakistanis are commendable.
The role of media was also discussed in the meeting. It was also considered that how media can play positive role in disseminating soft image of the country abroad. Waseem Akhtar apprised her that the CM has tasked him to work with his social media team so that Overseas Pakistanis could get the information without any delay.
He told Dr Firdous that OPC was all set to launch OPC App as per directions of the CM which would help in connecting expats with different housing societies of Punjab and they would be able to ascertain the status of their complaints through the App.
