Four terrorists held, explosives recovered
SUKKUR: The Shikarpur police arrested four alleged terrorists and seized nearly 100 kilograms of explosives and arms from their possession.
The SSP of Shikarpur, Masood Bangash, said that four terrorists, Abdul Rehman, Siraj Brohi, Siraj Langa and Abdul Ghani Brohi, were arrested in a raid. The suspects were said to be involved in a blast at an Imambargah and a suicide attack on a former MNA, Dr Ibrahim Jatoi.
He said that police had earlier arrested Akram Muavia, a suspect in the murder of Allama Shafqat Mutahiri, who during interrogation identified another man, Abdul Aziz.
“Following his arrest, Aziz identified the above mentioned four terrorists,” Bangash said. He said the suspects in custody also disclosed the names of their facilitators who were hiding somewhere in Balochistan. The SSP said the police were also planning an action against them.
