ABBOTTABAD: A former KP chief minister and governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan on Tuesday lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for multiplying the woes of the common man.
The PML-N leader was speaking at a meeting of party workers in the central office of the Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) here.
Local leaders, including former senator Barrister Javed Abbasi, district president Ayub Khan Afridi, Sardar Abdul Rasheed ? Malik Muhammad Shafiq, Nadeem Mughal, Mohammad Ashfaq, Sardar Zouq, Ahmad Nawaz Khan, Tahir Khan Tanoli and others attended the meeting.
Sardar Mahtab, who is also holding the office of central vice-president of PML-N, said major political parties had to take concrete and positive steps to pull the country out of prevailing crises.
He feared a major disaster if timely action was not taken by the opposition parties, especially the party of the masses which he said was the PML -N.
Sardar Mahtab said the party workers felt proud to be in the team trained by the party quid Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.
“I hope Shahbaz Sharif will prepare the party for the next general elections by making basic decisions and throwing out those elements who had hatched a conspiracy in the party ranks,” said the senior PML-N leader.
He said the party workers struggled hard to keep the party alive during the military dictatorship when the central leadership was sent into exile and vowed to strengthen the party.
