Islamabad : The federal government has decided to allocate Rs100 billion for the prime minister's national youth development programme in the next financial year.
The amount will be given away to youth for micro-business.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar met finance minister Shaukat Tarin and discussed with him the funding of the Kamyab Kissan (successful farmers) Programme launched under Youth and Small Scale Loans and the disbursement of money under it.
He said the government would provide youth with funds from Rs0.1 million to Rs50 million each under four categories.
Dar said by financing on easy terms, the programme empowered youth to lift the whole family out of poverty.
