Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to plant Miyawaki forests in other parts of the garrison city of Rawalpindi after successfully establishing Miyawaki forest in Rialto Park to control environmental pollution in the shortest possible time, says a press release.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Gulzar Hussain Shah visited Rialto Park sited flanked by RDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood Murtaza and Deputy Director Finance Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti on the occasion.
Commissioner Rawalpindi was pleased to see 6,000 plants planted by RDA on Rialto Park’s Green Belt. Expressing his appreciation for the initiative of RDA, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that it is a great idea as hot summer weather is in full swing and at present plants are the best source and helper to reduce the rising temperature in summer season. RDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood thanked the Commissioner Rawalpindi and said that Miyawaki forest would be planted in other places of the city with same rigour and spirit.
