ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar on Saturday said that the Government would face no difficulty in getting the federal budget passed by Lower House of the Parliament.
“With support of allies of PTI, the budget would easily sail through the Parliament and it would bring good news for employees and relief for the people,” Asad added.
The Speaker also travelled by train from Rawalpindi to Lahore where he would stay for three days. "I opted to travel by train because I wanted to check service of the department," he said. He observed that ML-1 project would bring a revolution in the railway sector.
The Speaker was accompanied by Senator Ayub Afridi and Junaid Akbar MNA on his visit to Lahore. He would hold meetings with the Punjab Governor and Speaker of the Punjab Assembly. The Speaker also sought support from the opposition parties to finalize draft of the electoral reforms. But he regretted that the opposition members were not attending meetings of Standing Committees.
