Islamabad: Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), the regulator for medical practice, has said it is creating a digital database of doctors in the country.
According to it, digital licences will be issued to doctors in July and the licences of those, who haven’t gotten their biometric verification done, will be cancelled within 45 days.
The PMC also said it had uploaded syllabi of the National Medical and Dental College Admission Test, National Licensing Examination, Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations, Conduct of Examinations Regulations, and Finance Regulations 2021 on its official website.
The computer-based NMDCAT will be held from August 30 to September 30.
According to the PMC, medical and dental colleges have been instructed to open admission by June 30. The passing marks for MDCAT and NLC have been set at 60 per cent and 70 per cent, respectively.
The students can register themselves for the test by July 25 to be followed by permission for the scheduling of exams.
