PMA flays Environment Dept’s performance

LAHORE : Dr Ashraf Nizami, President of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) presided over a meeting on World Environment Day at PMA House Lahore on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by Prof Malik Shahid Shaukat, Prof Khalid Mehmood Khan, Dr Ram Shehzadi, Dr Ahmed Naeem, Dr Azeemuddin Zahid, Dr Izhar Ahmed Ch and members of the Working Committee.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the performance of the Environment Department. Public Health Specialist and Chairman Environment Committee Dr Kamran Saeed General Secretary PMA Dr Malik Shahid Shaukat gave a briefing on climate change, poor performance of the department, sanitation situation and consequent adverse effects on public health.
