Lodhran by-polls: ‘Victory shows

PTI have roots among masses’

From Our Correspondent

MULTAN: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf victory in NA-154 Lodhran by-polls has shown that the party’s popularity among the masses is growing and it has become a ray of hope for the downtrodden class, said MNA Amir Dogar.

Addressing a function to celebrate the party victory at his residence here, he said that the victory had shown that the party had roots among the masses and it could not be wiped out. He said that PTI chief Imran Khan was the only leader, who could steer the country out of the crisis. He said that the inflation and corruption were on the rise in the country and the rulers were indifferent to the issues.

Criticising the government, MNA Amir Dogar said that the PML-N and the PPP had failed to provide basic amenities of life to the masses. He alleged that the PML-N tried to bribe the voters of NA-154 by announcing Rs 2.5 billion development and Kisan packages. He said that the Kisan package had ignored the real needs of the farmers. He said that the government had failed to end the loadshedding from the country. He said: “People of rural areas are facing loadshedding of 18 to 22 hours while people of urban areas are facing loadshedding of 14 to 18 hours.” He said that the Punjab was facing the worst ever electricity crisis, which had affected the business sector. He said that the masses were protesting against the gas loadshedding. He said that the gas loadshedding had also caused closure of several industrial units.
