Land dispute claims six lives in Kohat
KOHAT: Six persons of a family were killed and three others injured in a firing incident over a land dispute in Dheri Banda area here on Friday, sources said. According to the police, a man along with his sons killed his six nephews over a land dispute. Three persons were also injured in the incident. Police said the accused identified as Mumtaz along with his two sons opened fire on his nephews. They managed to flee the scene after committing the gruesome murder.
After learning about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and started conducting raids to arrest the accused. The bodies and the injured were taken to a hospital.
The slain persons were identified as Luqman, Ibrar, Mukhtar, Iqbal, Abdal and Zever Khan.
The injured included Abdul Manan and his two cousins, whose names could not be ascertained.
