Awareness about thalassemia causes stressed

PESHAWAR: Charity hospital has stressed the need for creating awareness among the masses to save children from blood disorders such as thalassemia as that was more important than the treatment of the deadly disease.

Speaking at a meeting, Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem, chairman, Frontier Foundation Hospital and

Blood Transfusion Services, Peshawar, said children from thalassemia were part of the society and giving them due attention was our shared social responsibility.

He said ending thalassemia and protecting the new generation from this hereditary disease was the mission of the Frontier Foundation Hospital for which we required the people’s cooperation.
