NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said on Friday industrialization was in progress in KP as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan that would make the province a trade hub.
He was talking to the media during a short visit to the Nowshera district where he met retired Lt-General Alam Khattak, former district nazim Daud Khan Khattak to offer them condolences on the death of their aunt and mother of Engineer Ahmad Ali.
The chief minister told reporters that Rashakai Economic Zone, industrial estates at Swat, Dera Ismail Khan and Chitral were being set up that would make KP a trade hub once again.
He said the prime minister wanted a revival and improvement of infrastructure in the merged tribal districts and that was why an ambitious development plan worth Rs83 billion had been launched in the erstwhile federally administered tribal areas.
Mahmood Khan said the jurisdictions of the Supreme Court and the Peshawar High Court had been extended to the merged districts while other facilities in education, health and other sectors were being provided to the people of the merged districts.
Later, Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak reached his hometown on Friday and offered condolences to Alam Khattak, Daud Khattak and Engineer Ahmad Ali.
