Five drown in separate incidents

SUKKUR: Five children drowned in separate incidents in Khairpur, Shikarpur and Dadu on Thursday. Reports said six-year-old Abdullah, s/o Abdul Hakeem Simang, and eight-year-old Hyder Ali, s/o Ali Bakhash Simang, drowned while taking bath in the Mirwah Canal in Khairpur. The divers after hectic efforts recovered the bodies from the canal.
Separately, two brothers — Fayaz and Waseem, sons of Ghulam Shabir Kumbher, drowned in the Hameer Canal while the local divers rescued Hyder Ali. The victims were the residents of Jahaz Chowk, Shikarpur. Also, the body of a missing boy, Sajjid Solangi, fished out from the Burira Canal, Dadu, after three days.
