Karachi: SZABIST, one of the country’s top business schools, ran its sixth annual “SMUC – SZABIST MARKETING UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE”, at an online platform. The competition was organized to assess the innovativeness and marketing skills of BBA students studying at SZABIST.
Noor Alam of KFC, Jamshed Ali of Haier, Saqib Nasir of Meezan Bank, Yasrab Shah of Tapmad, Gohar Syed of Lifebuoy along with a Marketing Specialist Tufail A. Khan were the judges of the competition. Naheed Chowdhry, CEO of IWill Consulting and Yahya Ghaznavi, Co-founder and CEO of AKS iQ, shared their profound experience and instilled motivation amongst participating teams as the guest speakers. Ms. Ayesha L. Shaikh, Assistant Professor – Marketing, started the event by sharing the significance and legacy of SMUC with the audience.
Addressing the audience, Ms. Shaikh said: “The objectives of this competition are to give exposure to the industry dynamics, to learn from experienced professionals, and to employ creative & analytical skills. This flagship event is a platform for our students to devise innovative solutions for either an existing brand or a start-up and to demonstrate their marketing expertise.”
The winning team proposed a lucrative concept of introducing self-defense jewelry for women. The winner and the runner-ups will not only receive trophies but will also get awarded with Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 8,000 cash prizes, respectively.—(Sponsored Content)****
