QUETTA: It is our top priority to ensure facilities to the residents, said CEO Quetta Cantonment Board Shuja Hyder. No laxity would be tolerated, the complainants must contact him directly for the redressal of their problems, he said. CEO Shuja Hyder made these remarks while visiting the Jinnah Town and Shehbaz Town. On the occasion, the CEO Quetta Cantonment heard the complaints of the residents and directed their redressal forthwith. He said all efforts are being made to improve the sanitation in Jinnah Town and Shehbaz Town. The relevant staff has been directed to ensure cleanliness and action will be taken against them if garbage dumps are found anywhere, Shuja Hyder said. He said teams have been set up to remove encroachments on a daily basis. Soon the issue of potable water will also be resolved with the activation of tube wells. The CEO Quetta Cantonment said the department is being improved on modern lines, complaint centres have been set up in different areas for quick resolution of problems. Hyder also asked the residents to promptly pay any outstanding taxes that are used for the development schemes.
