LAHORE: PPP parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly Syed Hassan Murtaza has demanded 50 percent increase in the wages of government employees in the upcoming budget. Addressing a press conference Wednesday, Murtaza said minimum wage of Rs30,000 should be fixed in the upcoming budget 2021-22. He said the so-called honest prime minister has corrupted the whole system in which the government’s big four Jahangir Tareen, Khusro Bakhtiar, Zafar Mirza and Amir Kayani have embezzled billions of rupees while Aleema Baji was given NRO. PPP MPAs Syed Ali Haider Gilani, Makhdoom Usman Mehmood and advocate Shazia Abid were also present on the occasion. Murtaza said that the PPP will introduce budget proposals in the assembly.
