GUJRANWALA: Commissioner Zulfiqar Ahmad Ghumman Tuesday directed officers concerned to handle public grievances uploaded on the Khidmat App.
Reviewing the performance of the departments concerned in connection with the Khidmat Ap Ke Dehleez Par initiative, the commissioner said steps taken so far with regard to the cleanliness would be further improved in the coming days and there would be visible improvement by the end of this week. Briefing the commissioner on the program, he was told that so far more than 37,000 activities have been registered under this program for elimination of garbage, graffiti, removal of banners and redressal of other public grievances across the division. He was apprised that most of the 57 complaints lodged by the citizens under the service app had been resolved within 24 hours, the remaining complaints would also be settled. On the direction of the commissioner, a Special Monitoring Cell has also been set up in the Commissioner's Office to monitor the daily performance of the departments concerned. The cell will be supervised by the Assistant Commissioner (General) Tanveer Yaseen. The purpose of this cell is to make the Punjab Govt's program a success and implement the government's priorities in letter and spirit. The commissioner said all possible steps must be taken at all levels to make this special program of the CM of Punjab a success and made it clear that departmental action would be taken against those who were negligent in implementing the priorities of the govt without any exception.
