LAHORE: Referring to the PPP and the ANP leaving the opposition alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman Tuesday said “those disembarking the train mistakenly must reconsider their decision”.

He was talking to the media during his visit to the families of the deceased leaders of his party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F, Muhammad Idrees Uppal, Hafiz Abubakar Sheikh and Hafiz Riaz Durrani. He told a questioner that PDM’s journey towards the destination of complete restoration of the rule of law and constitution was continuing and it would continue, “no matter some travellers had disembarked from the vehicle mistakenly.

“There are times in a journey when vehicle slows down or stops for a while, and some travellers leave it mistakenly. We only ask those who made a mistake of leaving the PDM caravan that they should reconsider their decision and continue to be part of the great struggle for ensuring the supremacy of law and constitution in the country,” he added.

The Maulana said the target of entire nation and the PDM was the illegitimate and failed government, adding that “those leaving the PDM are not the target of the alliance.” Fazlur Rehman said the PDM would move forward with the power of the masses to ensure supremacy of the law and constitution.

He reiterated that PDM’s struggle would continue till getting rid of the illegitimate, corrupt and the biggest failure government in the country’s history, adding that it was the same target yesterday, today and would remain the same tomorrow.

He said the PDM had decided to reach out to masses again in its movement for restoring the rule of law and constitution in the country, and it would hold public meetings in Swat, Islamabad and Karachi soon. “The struggle for removing the illegal and unconstitutional government will continue till its logical end, whether it falls down in five months or five years,” he added.
