MANSEHRA: The police busted two inter-provincial gangs of car lifters and recovered around three dozen vehicles snatched and stolen from different parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, an official said on Tuesday.
“We have arrested 10 car-lifters from parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab and seized around 36 stolen and snatched vehicles from their hideouts,” District Police Officer Asif Bahadur told a news conference here.
Flanked by the Superintendent of police (Investigation), Hafiz Janis Khan, he said that it was the great achievement of police following the arrest of an Afghanistan-based gang of dacoits, which deprived locals of cash, gold and other valuables worth millions of rupees.
