CHARSADDA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) provincial Chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao on Tuesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was least bothered to strive for securing the rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The provincial PTI government has been unable to protect the rights of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the lack of proper planning and vision,” he said while addressing a meeting of party workers from provincial assembly constituency PK-59 here.

Sikandar Sherpao said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had lagged behind due to the inefficiency of the rulers. He said the province was being deprived of its royalty from water resources.

The QWP leader said that Sindh province was striving to seek the payment of the water royalty while KP government was not making any effort despite the fact that the province was not getting its rights.

He added that the government had added to the woes of the people owing to its flawed policies. He said that the people were fed up with the PTI government as its performance was dismal.

He also condemned the use of force against the teaching and non-teaching employees of the universities who were protesting for their demands.

Sikandar Sherpao said that the ones, who had claimed to declare an education emergency, subjected teachers to teargas shelling and baton-charge.
