KHAR: A door-to-door campaign was launched in Bajaur Agency on Thursday against the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and to muster support for the proposed 22nd amendment to the Constitution.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Youth Wing Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) chapter has launched the campaign. PML-N Youth Wing President for Fata Nizamuddin said that the campaign was aimed at gathering support for the political reforms in the tribal region and to unite the tribespeople against the draconian law.
He said that efforts would be made to convince those tribesmen who he alleged were forced by the political administration of Bajaur Agency to support the FCR and oppose the proposed political reforms in Fata to not play in the hands of vested interests.
Meanwhile, the participants at a gathering announced support to the 22nd proposed amendment to the Constitution.The Mohmand Youth Council has organised the session as part of its campaign to create awareness among the tribespeople about the political reforms in Fata.
