Speakers for student-friendly learning environment

FAISALABAD: University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan has urged the youth to devote themselves for education as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam.
He was addressing a seminar on learning environment arranged by the varsity’s Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation.
Dr Iqrar stressed the need for understanding the message of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal so that the dream of prosperity could be fulfilled. He also urged the faculty to become self-accountable and perform the duties effectively by creating a friendly environment.
He said self-accountability was a prerequisite for the uplift of the country, adding that the industry and farming community demanded out-of-box solutions to their problems.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mahrukh Khan called for making the learning environment more viable in which the students should be given complete freedom to ask questions. She said no nation could achieve development without education as it worked as an engine for growth and prosperity.
Seminar on cancer-related mortality rate

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is holding a special public lecture on the rising mortality rate from caner in Pakistan on December 29 at 11:00 am at New Senate Hall.
Dr Nawazish Ali Khan from the US will be the keynote speaker with Punjab Medical College Principal Dr Sardar Zafar as the chief guest on the occasion.
The seminar is organized by Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization in collaboration with Public Relations and Publications and Faculty of Food Nutrition and Home Sciences. The event is meant for raising awareness among the people about cancer and to control its outbreak.
