Four convicted in murder case
FAISALABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Yaqoob on Wednesday awarded capital punishment to two accused and life term to another accused in double murder case.
According to the prosecution, Muhammad Khalid, Muhammad Riaz and Sultan had killed Muhammad Riaz and Muhammad Nawaz over enmity some time ago. Nishtabad police registered a double murder case and presented challan in the court.
After observing witnesses and evidence, the judge awarded capital punishment to Muhammad Khalid and Muhammad Riaz whereas Sultan was handed down life imprisonment. All the convicts have been directed to pay Rs 50,000 each as compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased, otherwise, they would have to undergo an additional imprisonment of six months.
