Three drug peddlers held

OKARA: Police Tuesday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered a huge quantity of drugs and wine. On a tip-off, the police arrested Zaman of Akbar road with 2,160 gram charas. The Sadr Okara police arrested Zafar Iqbal of Nursery stop and recovered 1,010 gram charas. Police also arrested Asif Masih and recovered 33 litres wine from his possession.
BHANDARA ELECTED: Mian Muhammad Shafiq Bhandara, advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and former DBA Okara president, was elected as member of the Pakistan Bar Council the other day. He is the ever first advocate from Okara bar who had reached the office of the PBC. Member Punjab Bar Council Akhtar Hussain Bhatti advocate, DBA Okara president Chaudhry Aslam Javed and secretary general Rao Abid Mushtaq advocate congratulated him.
