Foolproof security planned on Eid Milad, Christmas

MULTAN: DPO Khanewal Jehanzeb Nazir Khan Tuesday said foolproof security measures have been planned on the eve of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) and the Christmas.
In a meeting with church administrators, the DPO said special teams have been constituted for all churches of district Khanewal.
He said churches administrations have also been directed to appoint volunteers at churches.
MNA Chaudhry Iftikhar Nazir and MPA Nishat Ahmed Khan Daha also attended the meeting.
The DPO said no person would be allowed to enter Churches without identification and four walls of churches must be covered with barbed wires. He ordered installation of security cameras in the district.
Facilitation desk inauguration today

MULTAN: Senior advisor and complaints commissioner for Pakistanis living abroad Hafiz Ehsan Khokhar Tuesday said Federal Ombudsman Suleman Farooqi will inaugurate one window facilitation desk today (Wednesday).
The facilitation window will be inaugurated at Multan International Airport and it would facilitate Pakistanis coming from abroad at one point.
Khokhar stated this addressing a high level meeting held at Multan International Airport on Tuesday. He said the desk would continue its working round the clock and all twelve departments would remain present through their representatives.
He said the Ombudsman’s secretariat would monitor the performance of the desk.
Ehsan directed the relevant staff to take up luggage missing complaints on the basis of priority.
He also visited Multan central jail, women jail and distributed Allama Iqbal Open University’s books among prisoners.
