Dacoits kill vendor for taking time to give cash

FAISALABAD: Two dacoits killed a vendor for taking time to bring out cash from his pocket on Imambargah Road, Dijkot, on Tuesday.

Khalid Mehmood Bholi was going to the vegetable market when the dacoits intercepted him and demanded cash from him, but he took some time to bring out cash from his pocket. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot him dead. Meanwhile, residents of the area took out a rally and chanted slogans against Dijkot police. They alleged that police had completely failed to check and stop the growing incidents of robbery and dacoity.

COMMITS SUICIDE: A rickshaw driver committed and three others attempted suicide here on Tuesday.

Muhammad Sarwar, a rickshaw driver of Hajveri Town, ended his life by swallowing poisonous pills after quarrelling with his wife and family over a domestic dispute.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Azhar, a resident of Samanabad, Seema, a resident of Jhang Road, and Iram, a resident of Ahmadnagar, attempted suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in different incidents.

 

Woman beaten to death over children row

FAISALABAD: An old woman was killed by her relatives over a children dispute at Bhutto Colony, Makkoana, on Tuesday. Sakeena Bibi was allegedly beaten to death by her relatives Sarfraz Ahmad and his daughter Saba. Sadr police have registered a case and started investigation.
