Security for Eid Milad, Christmas reviewed

JHANG: The meetings of the District Intelligence Committee and the District Peace Committee were held on Monday to review security arrangements for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) and Christmas.
District Coordination Officer Nadir Chattha chaired the meetings. Addressing the meetings, the DCO said that it was a prime responsibility of Ulema and public representatives to play their role in maintaining religious harmony during the events. He said that the Punjab Home Department had issued instructions regarding enforcement of code of conduct for religious personalities. He said that security around Churches had been beefed up while wheelie would not be allowed on city roads.
During the meetings, a security plan of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) was also discussed. DPO Humayun Masood, ADC Babar Rehman, AC Imran Asmat and others attended the meetings.
Three killed, 16 injured in accident

JHANG: Three passengers, including a woman, were killed and 16 others injured in a collision between a van and a truck, some 10km from here on Monday.
A van was on its way when it collided with a truck on Jhang-Multan Road near Adda Kot Khaira. Resultantly, Amjad, Attiqa Bibi and van conductor Mehmood were killed on the spot while 16 others injured. The injured passengers were shifted to the DHQ Hospital.
