APGEC members protest sacking of Nadra employees
PESHAWAR: Members of the All Pakistan Government Employees Confederation (APGEC) Sunday staged a protest against sacking of the leaders of National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) employees union.
Holding banners and placards inscribed with demand for reinstatement of the sacked union leaders and implementation of the federal service structure in National Database Registration Authority, the protesters gathered near the press club.
Speaking on the occasion, the protesters demanded reinstatement of the sack employees and threatened to launch protest if their demands were not met. “The government wants to silence them through such tactics instead of fulfilling their genuine demands,’ he added.
Meanwhile, one Muhammad Jamil of Shabqadar also held a protest along with his children against demolition of his house.
He said that his house was destroyed and his family had no shelter to live in. He appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan for justice. Jamil warned he would commit self-immolation along with 10 children in front of the Chief Minister’s House if justice was not provided.
