Polio vaccination team beaten by family

OKARA: A polio vaccination team was beaten by a family at Bosan village.
A polio vaccination team led by Lady Health Worker Mumtaz Bibi came to the house of Arif for administering anti-polio drops to the children. When the team asked the family - Arif, Waris, Tariq, Sharafat Ali, Rubina, Shahnaz and Zahida Bibi - to bring their children they refused and allegedly beat them. The family also broke polio vaccine boxes. Depalpur Sadr police have registered a case.
13 lawyers booked for beating DCO Office employee

OKARA: Sadr police have registered a case against 13 lawyers on the charge of beating a DCO Office employee.
In an application, Aamir Shahzad, in-charge arms licence branch at the DCO Office, said that lawyer Zaheer Abbas came to his branch and asked him to accommodate him first but he refused. After sometime, Zaheer along with 12 unidentified lawyers came to the branch and allegedly beat Aamir and security guards. They also threatened Aamir of dire consequence.
