Foreign currency, hashish seized

Authorities at Torkham border seized hashish and US dollars in two separate actions on Thursday, officials said. Political tehsildar, Shamsul Islam, told reporters that during routine checking, they recovered 500kg hashish, being smuggled from Afghanistan to Pakistan through a truck (TLB-113). The trafficker, identified as Lal Zada, resident of Afghanistan, was arrested and sent to Landikotal lockup for investigation.
Resolution lauded
Office-bearers of the Anjuman Fidayan-e-Mustafa (PBUH) Pakistan Thursday lauded MNA Capt (r) Muhammad Safdar for getting approved a resolution of Naat after Quran verses before the start of the proceedings of the house. In a press release, Dr Mufti Najeeb Ahmed Hashmi, Hafiz Muhammad Akbar, Allama Syed Muhammad Salah Shah Hashmi and others said Capt Safdar had proved his love through his action.
