PRCS holds candlelight vigil
Islamabad: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) on Wednesday organized a candlelight vigil to express solidarity with the martyrs of Army Public School and College, Peshawar.
The vigil ceremony was attended by diplomats, representatives of Movement Partners, sister national societies, staff and volunteers of PRCS.
PRCS acting secretary general Ghulam Muhammad Awan said the gesture is aimed at showing the world that the entire Pakistani nation is standing by the bereaved families. “It is time that we forge unity and play a collective role against the menace of terrorism.We can never forget the sacrifices of innocent children and teachers, and with the power of pen and education, we will fight against this menace.,” he stated.
The participants of the condolence reference prayed and offered ’fateha’ for the departed souls.
