Police martyrs paid tributes

GUJRANWALA: Gujranwala police on Sunday arranged a function at the Police Lines to pay tributes to the police martyrs.
Speaking on the occasion, AIG Muhammad Tahir paid rich tributes to the martyred policemen and said that they along with army personnel laid down their lives to protect their homeland from the terrorists. He commemorated the sacrifices rendered by the police personnel in fight against terrorism during the last several years.
Commissioner Shamail Ahmad Khawaja, CPO Waqas Nazir, DCO Muhammad Amir Jan, CTO Muhammad Asif Zafar and families of police martyrs attended the function. Later, shields, souvenirs and gifts were distributed among families of the police martyrs.
