Capital train

This refers to the letter, ‘Metro madness’ (December 5) by Eman Farrukh. One agrees with the writer that metro buses have not solved the transport problem for the majority of people living in Islamabad because the Metro-Bus serves only those who live along or near the metro corridor.
Therefore it is suggested that the existing railway link between Rawalpindi and Islamabad be put into use. Local trains should be run between the twin cities on an hourly basis and buses like the metro that are stationed at Golra Station should run on dedicated routes, serving all sectors of the federal capital.
