Man dies as school wall collapses

OKARA: A labourer was killed on Thursday when a wall of the Government Primary Girls School caved in.
Reportedly, the renovation work was underway in the school situated in the rail bazaar, when a wall of the school caved in, leaving labourer Afzal of village Rajowal dead on the spot. Another labourer suffered injuries and was shifted to DHQ hospital.
WINE RECOVERED: Police Thursday arrested drug peddlers and recovered weapons and wine from their possession.On a tip-off, the police raided Bongi Karta village and arrested Muhammad Abbas and recovered 160 litres wine.
The police arrested Ghulam Qadir and recovered 30 litres wine, Muhammad Hassan and recovered 20 litres wine, Shafqat Rasool and recovered 15 litres wine and arrested Sajjad and recovered 20 litres wine.
The police arrested Mohsin Hassan and recovered 530 gram charas and Faiz Muhammad and recovered 312 gram charas.
