KARACHI: Two-time former world champion Amir Khan will witness bouts in the last stage of the All Pakistan Amir Khan Boxing tournament which Pakistan Rangers Sindh are going to organise at Abdullah Baloch Boxing Gymnasium here at People’s Sports Complex from December 14-21.
The event coordinator and Sindh Boxing Association’s (SBA) secretary Asghar Baloch told ‘The News’ on Thursday that Amir would arrive in Karachi on December 18.
Amir, who is working on academies and a trust in Pakistan, had said during his visit to Pakistan a few months back that he would come again in December. “Definitely, he will spend a few days in Pakistan,” Asghar said.
He said that in the event, 18 teams from across the country would be featuring.
He said Sindh Rangers, Sindh Police and an additional team of Sindh were inducted into the list of teams which had featured in the National Boxing Championship here at KPT’s Benazir Sports Complex recently.
