24 shopkeepers arrested for violating SOPs in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: District administration has arrested 24 shopkeepers during crackdown against the violators of the government set regulations for the control of Covid-19 cases.
A press release issued from the office of the deputy commissioner said the administration was taking every step to control the spread of the coronavirus. It added that the officials inspected various bazaars across the district to see if shopkeepers and customers were following the SOPs.
The release claimed that 24 shopkeepers were arrested from different bazaars for not wearing facemasks.
The administration said that action would continue to ensure the citizens and shopkeepers start following the SOPs. It also requested traders to help the government in curtailing the spread of the virus in the provincial capital.
Also, the administration said the manager of a filling station was arrested on Kohat Road for overcharging the customers.
