Useless face masks
This is to draw the attention of the government and citizens to the unchecked production of face masks. Ever since the Covid-19 outbreak in Pakistan, almost every other person is manufacturing these masks. It is shocking that there is no quality control, and manufacturers are using all types of paper and cloth as raw material. Some people have reported that second-hand clothes bought from flea markets are also being used to make face masks. These manufacturers are not complying with the global standards. On the other hand, the relevant authorities have also failed to regularly inspect the operations of these production units. There are many face masks that do not stop the virus from passing through the paper or water strips used as raw material. The government must look into this matter without delay as it can be one of the reasons for the uncontrolled spread of the virus.
