BATKHELA: Two persons were killed and three others sustained serious injuries when a car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Malakand Tunnel on Monday.
According to the police report, five members of a family were going to Peshawar from Tormang Darra in Lower Dir in a car. It said that the car plunged into a deep ravine when the driver lost control over the vehicle due to over speeding and heavy rain near the Malakand
Tunnel.
As a result, two persons identified as Noor Zaman and Inayatullah were killed on the spot while three others Hameedullah, Hamza and Gul Muhammad sustained severe injuries.A 12-year old girl Saima was miraculously remained unhurt in the accident.
Soon after the accident, Rescue 1122 personnel rushed to the spot and launched rescue activities.The personnel retrieved the bodies and injured and shifted them to Dargai Hospital.The bodies were later taken to the native town Tormang Darra in Lower Dir district in ambulances.
