No-war pact

Pakistan and India should sign a ‘No-war Pact’ if the two countries want to settle mutual disputes, especially the Kashmir issue. It is quite clear that none of the two countries can afford another war because the chances of turning a conventional war into a nuclear war cannot be ruled out. No one would emerge victorious in such a scenario. We should know that all outstanding issues can only be solved through meaningful dialogue on the basis of ‘give and take’.
Both the countries need to learn from their past bitter experiences and should strive towards friendly relations with each other. If sanity prevails on both sides of the divide and Pakistan and India become friendly countries then the huge spending on defence would automatically reduce, freeing money for other welfare-oriented projects.
