Four killed in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: Four persons were killed and as many, a cop among them, sustained injuries in separate firing incidents in the district, police said on Saturday.
They said that the first incident occurred in Prang area where Karim Shah, Zahid and their accomplices allegedly fired at a cab and a police van, killing Rehman Shah and Qadir Shah on the spot.
They said that the driver of the police van Ayaz, the cab driver Imtiaz Ahmad and Charagh Shah sustained injuries in the incident. The motive behind the incident was stated to be an old enmity. The accused managed to escape.
In the second incident, the police said, two teenagers opened fire on Shahzad, a grade-9 student, killing him on the spot.
They said the police raided the house of one accused Abbas after the incident which led to an encounter. They said that the accused Abbas was injured in the exchange of fire.
In the third incident, Zohaib Khan allegedly shot dead his step-mother over an unknown reasons in Tarnab area, police said.
