Karachi
Leaders from political parties also voted along with the people of Karachi in their respective constituencies throughout the day.
Senator Saeed Ghani voted at Marvi Grammer School in Chaneser Goth early in the day around 9am while Sherry Rehman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) arrived to cast her vote at the Sir Syed Medical College in Defence near noon.
The party’s Karachi president Najmi Alam at Campus College in Bath Island arond 9am while the chief minister’s information secretary Waqar Mehdi voted at the Clifton Grammar School at around 8am. The chief minister’s coordinator Rashid Hussain Rabbani cast his vote at the Government Girls Secondary School near Governor’s House.
Information secretary of the party in Sindh, Latif Mughal, cast his vote at the HR Agha Khan School in Garden East around 11am. Among the senior leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Waseem Akhtar voted in the first half of the day a the PWD Schools in UC-11, Lines Area, while Dr Farooq Sattar went to Faiz-e-Aaam Schools in PIB Colony near noon.
Incharge of the MQM’s central information committee Amin-ul-Haq voted at the Anglo Oriental School in Al-Noor Society around while Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui went to the Altaf Hussain Haali School around 10am in the morning. Leader of opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hasan, cast his vote at the polling station near Erum Shopping Centre in Bufferzone during the second half of the day around 3:30pm, Muzammil Qureshi arrived at the Oxford School in Gulshan-e-Iqbal around 11am while Kaif-ul-Wara cast his vote in North Nazimabad after noon.
