Sardar Noor Elahi Leghari passes away

Sardar Noor Elahi Leghari, a former Intelligence Bureau director, passed away in Karachi on Friday. He was 81.
He has left behind a son and two daughters. He belonged to the well-known Leghari family and was a cousin of Pakistan’s former president, Sardar Farooq Ahmad Khan Leghari.
Leghari was a grade-22 officer who held several important positions in the country. He was the Intelligence Bureau director for five years in the 1990s and also performed responsibilities as chairman of Pakistan International Airlines.
The late Leghari also worked as chairman of the Pakistan Printing Corporation and the director general of the Bureau of Emigration, Manpower Division. He is still remembered as an honourable and honest leader amongst the people of all the organisations he served in.
