Army phobia

This refers to the news report, ‘If constitution abrogated, country will go to the dogs: Shah’ (November 26). One is compelled to think that our politicians have no other job but to issue uncalled for statements from time to time.
They are the ones who have been creating conditions for the armed forces to intervene. Due to their internal rifts, they have always looked at the GHQ as an intermediary. A glimpse of this was visible during Imran Khan’s dharnas in Islamabad after the 2013 elections when the political leadership sought the army’s help to solve the crisis. Our rulers should concentrate on improving governance instead of crying wolf. There is no need to raise unnecessary army phobia in the country.
