Two weapons-laden vehicles seized

LAHORE
Model Town Division police have arrested five smugglers of weapons and recovered huge cache of weapons from two vehicles in the Kahna police limits on Monday.
The accused were smuggling weapons from Peshawar to Lahore.
They have been identified as Nasir Mahmood, Naeem, Ameer Saeed, Yousaf and Haji Irshad. Police recovered 30 pistols, six repeaters and 16,500 live bullets from them.
SP Model Town Mustansar Feroz disclosed this during a press conference at his office. SP Investigation Faisal Mukhtar was also present.
SP Mustansar said they set up a picket in Kahna on a tip-off under the supervision of DSP Kahna Circle Iqbal Hussain Shah and arrested five persons from Defence Road besides recovering deadly weapons. DIG Operations has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police team.
