LAHORE
A 28-year-old woman committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in Nawab Town on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Sumaira Perveen, wife of Abdul Wakeel of Nwab Town. Police said the woman was mentally upset as her husband had settled abroad almost two years back and did not contact her. On the day of incident, Sumaira swallowed poisonous pills. As a result, her condition went critical. She was rushed to a local hospital where she expired. Police handed over the body to the heirs after completing legal formalities.
driving school: The CTO Lahore on Saturday visited the City Traffic Police Driving School and checked the female motorbike riding classes. He also delivered a lecture on the road safety to the female bike riders. The CTO was informed that 91 women got them registered in the first session of which 20 women had learnt bike riding and 61 women had completed half of their training.
