Aqeel, Abid roll in straight sets at BB tennis
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan No 1 Aqeel Khan defeated Ejaz Ahmed in straight sets in the 6th Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis Championship here at the Islamabad Complex Courts Tuesday.
Aqeel won 6-3, 6-2 to make it to the second round. Ejaz managed to hold his serve thrice in the first set and twice in the second following a couple of close calls. Aqeel looked in fine touch on the clay courts.
The men’s singles first round also witnessed Muhammad Abid and Shahzad Khan winning their respective matches in straight sets.
