Traders demo for arrest of worker’s killers

OKARA: The Anjuman-e-Arthian Grain Market and Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Monday protested against rising robbery incidents in the grain market and asked the relevant authorities to arrest killers of a worker.
The other day three motorcyclists barged into the shop of Jamshed Siddique in the grain market and shot dead ‘labour contractor’ Mehr Muhammad Rafique and escaped with Rs 25,000. Hundreds of labourers of grain market led by Anjuman-e-Arthian grain market president Chaudhry Habib-ul-Haq and Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran president Chaudhry Saleem Sadiq raised slogans against the police and blocked traffic.
SP (investigation) Saud Magsi with police contingent rushed to the site and assured the traders early arrest of the outlaws.
FPCCI POLLS CANDIDATE VISITS OKARA: The candidate for Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) president slot and his supporters visited Okara on canvassing campaign and was hosted by Ch Muhammad Arshad Iqbal former president Okara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OCCI). The Pakistan Businessmen Council Group candidate for president slot of the FPCCI Senator Ghulam Ali (of FATA), and his supporters Mian Zahid Hussain, Mian Anjum Nisar and former president FPCCI Sultan Ali Chawala visited Okara on election campaign for the next FPCCI poll. The president OCCI Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal Shahid and the former president Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad Iqbal received the candidates and their supporters. The candidate pledged to solve their problems if he wins the slot. The OCCI dignitaries assured the visiting guests for their utmost support.
