Two killed in Malakand

BATKHELA: Two persons were shot dead while another sustained injuries at a jirga in Baata Banda in Malakand Agency on Saturday, official sources said.
The sources said that there was a jirga going on in Baata Banda to resolve a dispute of five stolen cows when one Imran allegedly opened fire on his rivals. A man identified as Saleem Khan was killed on the spot while Rehmani Gul
and Niamatullah sustained injuries.
The injured were rushed to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Batkhela.
However, the accused Imran managed to reach the emergency ward in the hospital and killed the injured Niamatullah as well.
Taking serious notice of the incident, Deputy Commissioner Ali Abbas Khan ordered suspension of the Malakand Levies personnel posted at the hospital.
He directed the law-enforcers to arrest the accused at the earliest.
