The sixth annual Karachi to Peshawar rally, in collaboration of Vintage & Classic Car Club of Pakistan and Hascol Pakistan, kicked off from Hascol Energy station on Sharea Faisal on Saturday.
The car rally will drive through Hyderabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Lahore, Islamabad, Bhurban and will conclude in Peshawar on December 4.
A huge collection of vintage and classic cars, including Alfa Romeo, Austin-Healey, Ford, Mustang, Mercedes 108s, MGBs and MG Midget, will also be exhibited at the Lahore Expo Centre.
On the occasion, hundreds of car enthusiasts thronged venue where the cars were lined up to embark upon their journey. The crowd was given the opportunity to get up close with iconic vintage vehicles.
Among the cars participating the rally were Mercedes 170 SD, 1939 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith, 65 Ford Mustang, 1975 Volkswagens, 1965 Humber Hawk, Range Rover classic, an original 1957 Willy s Jeep, 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe, 1939 Austin, 1961 MGA ,1965 Peugeot, 1950 Hillman Minx, 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback and the 1969 Mini Clubman 1275GT.
Hascol General Manager Marketing Zafar Munshi said in its quest to promote peace in the country his company would continue to support and encourage the activity.
“Hascol is doing its best to promote tourism in the country and such events are an example of our efforts,” he said.
