Annual sports orientation ceremony held at FJWU

The annual sports orientation ceremony was organised by Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) here on Thursday.
The day was marked to brief the students about sports activities at FJWU and also to bring the participation of women and young girls in the field of sports. Dr Bushra (chairperson of Sports Committee), sports committee members, departmental sports representatives, and large number of students warmly participated in it. In the ceremony students were informed about how to register themselves for participating in different games, types of different games played in FJWU, and when their trial/training sessions would start.
A session between new and the old sports students and medalists in different games were arranged. Students were motivated through different documentaries and successes stories of FJWU’s senior athletes in this sports journey. While speaking to the students, the chairperson of Sports Committee Dr. Bushra said, to encourage our youth to participate in sports and other physical activities is the dire need of time. To build intelligent and strong and healthy nation sports are integral. She further said athletes of FJWU are contributing in the national and international sports and this will continue in the future as well. The trial session would regularly start from November 23, 2015 for 18 games.
